Step 1:

Fill the MOON with pellets, leaving the perforated circle below the opening free (approx. 10-12 kg of pellets).

Step 2:

Place 2-3 pieces of kindling wool on top of the pellets.

Step 3:

Moisten the wool and the pellets with höfats bioethanol gel fuel.

Step 4:

Light the wool, watch the pellets start to burn and after a few minutes you will see the fascinating play of flames.

When using pellets, the fire is more sensitive to wind than when using firewood. In both cases, however, the fire can easily be rekindled.

If a gust of wind extinguishes the fire and turns the flames to smoke, take your barbecue or fire tongs, grab a firelighter and light it.

Place the burning firelighter in your MOON fire basket. This will reignite the fire and make the smoke disappear in no time..

When the air stream enters, it splits into three parts. The first two heat the fuel in the heart of the fire basket via the ash tray. The third part of the air stream rises between the inner and outer bowl, is heated as it rises and exits through the perforated circle below the opening. This is where the second stage of combustion takes place, efficiently burning even the smallest particles of wood and producing a smokeless flame, especially when using pellets.
